Novice Kids (Age up to 6) | |
|
|
This program is designed for the kids between 4 and 6 years of age. Since children at this age are not capable of focusing for a longer time the exercises in this program are very dynamic with a lot games. Through the carefully selected games children build strength, coordination ability to follow simple and medium complex instructions and longer focus span. Karate specific exercising is limited to very basic stances, kicks, punches and simplified forms (KATA). During this program children are able to achieve maximally the grade of the yellow belt.

Novice Kids (Age 7 to 13) | |

|
This is a stricter program for the school children 7 to 13 years of age. This is a mandatory program for all children when joining Karate for the first time. Students usually stay in this program for a period of 6 to 12 months. Most of the students achieve grade of the orange belt within this period of time. Talented students are able to end this program with the green belt. As GoalMax is an affiliate of the Karate Ontario Organization (the only governing body of sport of karate in the province of Ontario) the grading criteria is aligned with the standards of the organization.

Intermediate (Age 8 to 14) | |
|
|
This is a continuation of the novice program. The minimum requirement for this program is the grade of half-green belt. During this program students are learning more complex forms (KATA) and principles of sparing. Students usually stay in this program for a period of 12 months. Most of the students achieve a grade of the half-blue belt within this period of time.

Advanced (Age 9 to 14) | |
|
|
This is a continuation of the Intermediate program. The minimum requirement for this program is the grade of half-blue belt. During this program students are learning complex forms (KATA) required for the grade of blue and brown belt. Most complex sparing combinations are introduced and practiced within the program. Students usually stay in this program for a period of 12 – 24 months. Most of the students achieve a grade of the brown belt within this period of time.

Black Belt Preparation (Age 11 and up) | |

|
This is a specially designed program for the students with the brown belts. As the black belt requirements are significantly more serious than the requirements for the lower belts this program is strictly focusing on the significant improvement of the basic Karate principles including the explosive strength, power, coordination, balance and knowledge of the complex forms (KATA). Most of the students take two pre-tests (brown belt 1 and brown belt 2) prior to passing their Black belt test. Students stay in this program until they get their Black belts. It usually takes 6 to 18 months.

Adults (Age 15+) | |
|
|
This program is for the students of all grades and ages over 14 years. Usually students from the other program continue practicing ‘Karate for Life’ in this relax program. The program helps participants to improve the physical and mental level of focus and fitness using Karate and exploring secrets of karate infinitely.

Athlete Development Programs | |
|
GoalMax is extremely proud on the competition results of its karate athletes in the past. Two world, multiple Pan-American and many National medals captured by Goalmax students are result of the strong athlete development program started more than 5 years ago. Knowing that the athlete development has to start at the very early age Goalmax is giving high priority to the process of identifying and attracting talented students to this program.
Good candidate for this programs need to have:
a. Natural talent - Physical and mental ability to do Karate as a combat sport following WKF** rules.
b. Very high personal commitment
c. Strong support from the family
** WKF (World Karate Federation) is the only governing body of Karate in the world recognized by the International Olympic committee (ICO)

Young Athletes ' Rising Stars' (Age 8 to 12) | |

This program is designed for the talented karate students, who have completed Introductory (Novice program) and satisfy other criteria of the Athlete Development program. Through this program students will gradually learn basic principles of the sort of karate (according to the WKF competition rules). Focus is given mostly to the competition preparation and building an athlete character through the serious of the competitions within Karate Ontario organization. Grading within this program is based beside on the Karate Ontario testing criteria also on the results achieved at the Karate Ontario tournaments. |

Junior Elite KATA Athletes (Age 13 to 17) | |

This program is usually continuation of the Young Athletes program. It’s designed for the karate athletes, who are regularly competing in the Junior elite divisions at the Karate Ontario tournaments. The main focus is given to the specific needs of the Kata competitors to achieve the leading role and to earn a place on the Karate Ontario Provincial team. Most successful participants of this program are usually members of the Karate Ontario Junior Team. The program consists of collective and individual classes to address specific needs of every participant.

Junior Elite Kumite Athletes (Age 14 to 17) | |

This program is usually continuation of the Young Athletes program. It’s designed for the karate athletes, who are regularly competing in the junior elite kumite divisions at the Karate Ontario tournaments. The main focus is given to the specific needs of the Kumite competitors to achieve the leading role and to earn a place on the Karate Ontario Provincial team. Most successful participants of this program usually achieve this goal before reaching age of 17. The program consists of collective and individual classes to address specific needs of every participant.

High-Performance Kumite Athletes | |

This unique program is usually continuation of the ‘Junior Elite Kumite Athlete Development program. It’s designed for the high-performance karate athletes, who have already achieved high international results at the junior level (National and International). The program is completely driven by the competition calendar and tailored to the specific needs of every athlete. The best athletes from this program are members of the Karate Ontario Provincial and Karate Canada National teams.
